Saving lives

Having bought a bucket of fish from a vendor on the river the pilgrim releases them back into the river. There are many ways to save lives, human lives and of all moving feeling beings but some of us don't have or take the opportunity. By this ritual act we are transformed. As we see the fish swim away we realize the preciousness of all life and our own life. We realize that we should do something with this rare opportunity. When the Dalai Lama was asked, "When is a life worth living?" He answered, "When one is able to have a kind thought of another."
