The purpose of this outreach was to provide a day long teacher training to the foreign language department at Capital University of Economics and Business (where Rose is a fellow). Teachers are eager for new, innovative, active and engaging activities and tasks that they can apply to content in the classrooms. Emphasis was placed on interactive learning, use of authentic texts and materials for motivation, connecting to student’s interests and experiences, and building organic classroom environments for students to learn more naturally.
