Lower secondary students at Konstandin Kristoforidhi School in Nedorimë, Ferizaj participated in a Kosovo Writers Workshop that focused on animals, and our knowledge and love of them. Most students are high beginners, so providing sufficient vocabulary and tapping background knowledge through warm-ups around animal descriptions and cultural differences in animal sounds helped to energize the students. A playful quiz after by reading select phrases from student writing helped the students to realize their descriptions were clear and recognizable.
