Paraguay´s English Language Fellow Jonathan Maiullo worked with the ACCESS program to arrange an argumentative essay contest with ACCESS students across the country. The contest was held with over 100 ACCESS students in Asunción, San Lorenzo, Encarnación and Cuidad del Este. Before the contest began, the ELF visited each location with a presentation on the most common mistakes in writing. The workshop also included an example of a five-paragraph essay and a template for the students to use and a discussion component that promoted writing as a process rather than a product.
