Here is the collective poem written by the students:
For my people everywhere
Where women are wearing hijab
And men are growing beards
Where you only want to pray in mosques
Instead of being afraid of bombs
For you who have been misunderstood
Because of 1% of wrong events and dangerous incidents
You’re my Muslim people
For my people,
Women who are struggling every single minute
Fighting to reach a dream
That others never believe the other sex should think about
For my people and all the girls
Be great women
And put your finger print on this large world
Be dangerous, be strong, and make the life with colors
Let the world shine
For the young
Stand up and make your decision
Give chance, peace, and be stars
Give and take
For my people
The future
The brightest light that never came
The hope of many amazing humans out there
For my people spending nights and days
In a world of disappointment
The whole universe counts on you
Wherever you are, wherever you go!
For my people who have been blamed
For crimes you didn’t commit
You great people who stand for your rights
For my people, my castle, my crown
My jewel, my pearl
You are the ditties I want to dance to
You are the saver who patches empty
Holes in my life
If you can only have an opportunity
I would stand up, take off my hat,
And clap my hands
For my mother
For my people
For the hopeful who pretend that the past isn’t real
Cuz it brings back how they used to feel
Thank you for the dream, for the hope
We shall make it like a strong, endless rope
For my people everywhere
Laying and waiting for hope
If you do not die for it
Do not cry if you don’t get it
For you my achievers
For my people everywhere,
Losing hope and crying without stop
Life is not a bed of roses
No pain, no gain
Life is either a daring adventure or nothing
Wake up, go ahead, try hard, figure new things out
Never stay down!
For my people
To the only man in my life
I never had the chance to know you
But I hope that you are proud of me
I am proud to be your daughter
For the one who struggled
Because of me
The one who despised his life
Because of me
The one who never reaped from
The struggle to make me a person
Hoping you are happy
For the success you
Saw me achieve
Miss you and rest in peace
For my daddy
For the one who raised me
Who made me a man
For you who spent nights and heights just to
Make sure I’m ok
I’ll never let you down
You taught me how to be a better man
For my people
Never despair and go through
Reach your dreams until you grow
Be in the American Corner
Talk to Delia who inspired you
Discover yourself without any lies
Draw lines of your life behind you
Be optimistic wherever you go
Keep smiling and let your mind blow
Love everyone, never hate
Be fast and don’t wait
For my people, my source of inspiration
My shooting star, my comedy movie
Your hair is shining like a diamond
You should be an angel, a noble queen
An iris flower
