Work Party

A federal Fish and Wildlife Service biologist and habitat restoration expert planting seedlings of the endangered golden paintbrush, Castilleja levisecta. Although it is difficult to tell from this picture, the planting site is actually on a 60 degree slope. What appears to be a hill in the background is actually level ground at the base of the bluff well over 100ft / 30m below.
