Rooftop Golf Mascot
Miniature golf that is not boring at a series Oceanside rooftops is a favorite childhood memory of mine. I enjoyed this mascot that scared many children because I associated the big guy with Alfred E. Newman and Mad Magazine.
Elsewhere in my photostream there is a photo of this giant all busted up and laying down on the job. He was in storage ninety days after Hurricane Sandy. They did a pretty good job of fixing him up but never got around to replacing the head of the golf club in his hands.
On this visit I got some bad news from a Casino Pier security guard. This will be the last year for rooftop golfing in Seaside Hts., NJ. I hope either he was wrong or those plans change.
