Path to the Stars
In the still of the night, with wispy clouds overhead, we contemplate where our path will lead us........

First, I have to say that I don't know if I've even been out shooting on such a still night. Just look at that grass in the foreground; it's tack sharp on a 15 minute exposure.
When I took this shot, I wasn't expecting too much, as we still had the long stringy clouds slowly drifting by overhead. But, I thought I'd give this composition a try anyway. Then, as I processed it, I tried like heck to get rid of the clouds, and I couldn't. So, I decided to leave them in, and the more I looked at this shot, I decided I liked it even better with the clouds. .....or perhaps I just convinced myself that they worked. Either way, I hope you like it.
