NORFOLK, Va. (Feb. 29, 2009) - Gas Turbine System Technician Mechanical 2nd Class Ezekiel Lopez gives his wife a kiss goodbye before departing on a six-month deployment aboard guided-missile destroyer USS Laboon (DDG 58), Feb. 29. Laboon will be operating in the Sixth Fleet area of responsibility, where it will support theater security cooperation by participating in regional exercises with allies, making diplomatic port calls and responding to any contingency.
