Human Nature
An odd thing happened on the way to the mall... As I approached a set of traffic lights 2 police vehicles pulled into the middle of the intersection and the officers stepped out and proceeded to stop traffic in all directions. While sitting in my vehicle wondering what emergency or crime was in progress I noticed a group of about a dozen kids and a couple of adults begin to cross the street. Seconds later there was another group, and another, and another... I waited while what must have been a few hundred kids were guided across the street by parents and teachers while the police kept traffic at bay. Now that's quite a field trip when you get a police escort! Plus I wonder who's in charge of counting heads...
