1963 Mercedes-Benz 190SL
Chassis No. 12104210023457
The Mercedes-Benz 190SL is a two door grand touring convertible was produced between May 1955 and February 1963. The 190SL was sold alongside the more expensive Mercedes-Benz 300SL, which it closely resembled both in its styling and in its fully independent suspension, with both cars having double wishbone suspensions at the front and swing axles at the rear. However, the 190SL was built on the shortened monocoque R121 platform, which was modified from the W121 small saloon platform.
The Mercedes-Benz 190 SL impresses on account of unquestionable harmony of its tasteful body and its high performance. United in this automobile are the classical form of the coupe and the aesthetically perfected aerodynamic lines of it's time. Chromium is simply there to accentuate the stylish flowing lines.
23457: Presented here is very lovely example of the increasingly desirable Mercedes-Benz 190SL. Benefiting from a recent ground-up restoration, this fit running and absolutely beautiful Roadster is ready to be driven and enjoyed for years to come!
With its glossy red paint, polished brightwork, new tires and top, the car’s exterior is nicely presented and quite luxurious. The cabin displays admirably preserved leather, instrumentation, radio, clock and trim, along with fresh carpeting and paint. An excellent driver, featuring classic Mercedes-Benz styling without the price; a great alternative to the very expensive 300SL! Original Technical Data booklet, Owner’s Manual, vintage Dealer Directory and 1974 Vehicle Inspection Report accompany the car.
