Protesters escape a hail of tear-gas during clashes in Sanabis village on the outskirts of the Bahraini capital Manama on 26 January 2009. Bahraini authorities charged Haq secretary general, Hasan Mushaima, human rights committee head and spokesman for Haq, AbdulJalil al-Singace, and Sheikh Mohammad Habib al Miqdad on 26 January 2009 with attempting to overthrow the government, as their 25 January 2009 arrest sparked wide spread clashes between their supporters and police across the Gulf island.
