Protesters burn tires during clashes with police in the Shiite village of Bilad Al Qadem on the outskirts of the Bahraini capital Manama 27 January 2009. Protests and clashes continued to trouble the Gulf island of Bahrain for the second day in a row, following the arrest and charging of 3 opposition figures on charges of conspiring to overthrow the government.
