Students assembled in the gymnasium to learn about how to maintain a healthy lifestyle by staying active and eating healthy foods.
Obesity in the US has become a national Security issue. This problem is putting a strain on healthcare costs and making it more difficult for people to qualify to serve in our armed forces.
Approximately 300K adult deaths in the U.S. each year are attributable to unhealthy dietary habits, or physical inactivity. Nearly two-thirds of U.S. adults are overweight orobese.
18.1% of adolescents aged 12-19 are obese.
