Shaped Bokeh Tools

The only tools you need to make some decent looking bokeh shapes. I've taped the template over the outside of the hood I created and I've also placed it inside before placing the hood over the lens. It seems to work better when I put it inside because I can see how straight and centered the template is.

 

Place the hood over, and around, your lens. As long as the cutout is smaller than the aperture of your lens it'll work perfectly. So make sure you set your lens' aperture for its widest setting.
