Portable Table Saw
Made a specialty portable table saw using 7 1/4 circular saw. Fence is fixed on one side to cut 2" and under strips. Had problems with accuracy and positioning of the movable fence so it is now gone. To keep the saw on I had to put a strap around the trigger. Power strip is used as on off switch. The overhead blade guard is fixed height at 2", but the blade will only cut as deep as 1.5". The bar above the blade keeps my hand from accidentally touching the blade reaching over the top. It also prevents wood pieces from flying up and any kick back that occurs does so in a slow motion. Color is Rustoleum Gloss Winter Gray.
It makes accurate enough rip cuts for my needs. I also use it as a vertical planer for the wood strips. Still needs some improvements.
