THE UGLY SIDE OF CONSERVATISM

Okay, here is today's rant. Yesterday I watched Michael Moore's latest film, "Fahrenheit ll/9." It terribly disturbing and depressing. And mostly right on the money as far as I'm concerned. Please watch it. Now for the connection: Conservatives like nothing better than to complain about government running the lives of the citizenry. Don't like taxes, and love greed (okay, that last one is my prejudiced opinion). So here, in one of the most conservative states in the nation, they tell you that you will buy the kind of alcohol they choose, that you will pay the price that they say you will, and that you will only be able to buy it on specified days and times.
They'll also tell you that the free enterprise system for profit will help you get medical care and that you have not control over your uterus if you are a woman. Funny how conservatism only applies to what they want it to. American democracy has become a sham, and the real revolutionary forces that have won the war for independence are the theocratically driven conservatives who now not only own the economy, but all of our governance as well.
