Nick and Christine came to lunch - as always their wine proposal is quite special. Limoux is well known for it's champagne style Blanquette which claims to predate Champagne by a full century or more. But Limoux's straight whites, done as well as this, are the real treat. One could fairly claim this as a garagiste's or boutique wine with just 1500 bottles of this wine made by Eric Vialade in 2005 and even fewer in 2006. That said the full vinyeard of just over 20 hectares produces some 80,000 bottles a year. I sense some serious 'research' ahead.
