Día #29 (365 Days Project): The Other Inside
.::29 de enero de 2009::.
Memory traces never leave the mind. Painful memories can be put out of consciousness or repressed. Repressed memories, rooted in the traumas of early infancy, remain active forces in adulthood, shaping our personalities and returning sometimes to inflict neurotic suffering. Some people believe that analytic therapy can relieve this suffering by getting to the truth of what was repressed, freeing us to lead happier and more productive lives. But I think this is not entire true, most of the times, analytic therapy (Freudian's psicho) can be hurtful by pulling this repressed memories out, for some reason our minds hide those painful memories. Now the question is: who is protecting us from pain, a shrink or our own mind?
