Heleioporus australiacus

The common name for this frog is the Giant Burrowing frog. It is the largest frog species in the Sydney region. The males have very large forearms with black spines possibly for mating or combat purposes. When I found this one it was sitting next to a trail of ants and slowing picking them off. They have a call that resembles an owls call.
