Kumar
This is Binay Kumar. He discovered Zen while still in his home town of Bodhgaya in India. He and his family became Zen students and he subsequently moved to Japan over a decade ago. He was a priest in training for some time at Tosho-ji and has since opened a successful Indian restaurant in Hamamatsu, about 500km away.
Each year for Tosho-ji's anniversary, he visits and prepares a sumptuous Indian feast for residents and guests.
