Now with Snow (240/365)
Geeks will always be geeks, first it was queuing up at 7am for an iphone, now it's actually buying a copy of Snow Leopard at the Apple Store because the preordered one won't be arriving on time. I was all pumped to immediately install Snow Leopard after work, but after reading a lot of grim stories at a Mac forum, I was pretty much convinced that I won't be getting my £8 Snow Leopard. So instead of doing the patient thing and waiting it out till... say Tuesday (bank holiday innit). I just popped over to Apple Store and bought an extra copy. There were loads of folks at the store, all queuing up with a copy of Snow Leopard ready to fork a mere £25 on the bad boy. It always amazes me how Mac users suck up to anything Apple release.
Anyway, I installed the badboy once at home and am really loving the little things it has improved on. My favourites is the fact that iCal now does Google Calendar sync, there's a thumbnail slider at the bottom which changes the size of the icons (perfect for my videos and photos), quicktime looks all kinds of sexy. expose looks a lot neater, opening folders in the dock makes more sense and the dancing snow leopard that pops out of nowhere pumping out raw swedish techno music.
Anyway, I wanted to throw in some snow flakes on this shot but really didn't know how that was going to be done, I wanted them cut out as snow flakes but didn't really have the patience to learn it haha. Was ever so tempted to do those ickle stars too but once again... lazy, so I just threw in some jelly beans.
Saturday update Looks it Snow Leopard is arriving to some folks today, the "Up to date" £8 disc only includes the disc, so I'm kinda glad I bought a retail copy, i like the box :D Now I just need to give this copy to someone else, maybe just use it on my work Mac.
