VINH CITY, Vietnam (July 17, 2012) Project HOPE volunteer Barbara Maxwell examines the thyroid of a Vietnamese woman at a medical civic action project (MEDCAP) site at Hung Lam Primary School during Pacific Partnership 2012, on 17 July. Vietnam is the third stop for Pacific Partnership 2012. Previously the mission visited Indonesia and the Philippines, and will continue on to Cambodia as its last mission port. Pacific Partnership, an annual U.S. Pacific Fleet humanitarian and civic assistance mission now in its seventh year, brings together U.S. military personnel, host and partner nations, non-government organizations and international agencies to build stronger relationships and develop disaster response capabilities throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
