YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec. 22, 2010) - Commanding officer of USS Mustin, Cmdr. Michael Misiewicz, welcomes Tokihiko Umezaki, commanding officer of JS Ikazuchi (DD 107), as he arrives on board USS Mustin. JS Ikazuchi, sister ship of USS Mustin, presented a new years gift of kadomatsu to Mustin as a sign of friendship. Kadomatsu trees are traditional Japanese decorations for the New Year to honor ancestral spirits or kami of the harvest.
