EAST CHINA SEA (April 11, 2020) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS McCampbell (DDG 85) sails in formation with Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) ships as part of a Cooperative Deployment (CODEP). CODEP is designed to enhance routine operations and combined-joint interoperability with Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) and to demonstrate the resolve and commitment to the U.S./ROK alliance and the region McCampbell is underway conducting operations in the Indo-Pacific region while assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
