OKINAWA, Japan (March 7, 2017) The USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), USS Ashland (LSD 48) and the USS Greenbay (LSD 20) visit White Beach Naval Facility for the onload of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). The Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st MEU departed March 8 for a routine patrol, operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to enhance warfighting readiness and posture forward as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
