I got next!
A little late night solo ping pong. One of the coolest things about our house is that we have a large basement (which is really rare in Japan) that is plenty big enough for not only the dozens of boxes we haven't unpacked since we moved here five years ago, but also a ping pong table.The only problem is that Charles, my younger son, is the only person who will play with me and he is in the midst of Japanese examination hell. He is preparing for university entrance examinations in February and until then is officially banned by Japanese cultural norms from doing anything fun -- at least that's what my wife tells me. So, this winter vacation it looks like I'll generally be playing by myself.
Today was the last day of classes. Tomorrow we have our school Christmas party and then two full weeks with nothing whatsoever to do. I can hardly wait.
