Restored wetlands in Queen Anne's County, Maryland

Bloomfield Farm, seen on July 20, 2017, is a permanently protected 318-acre property with roughly 100 acres of restoration projects designed to reduce pollution in the headwaters of streams leading to the Corsica and Chester Rivers in Queen Anne's County, Md. The farm was purchased by the county with help from Eastern Shore Land Conservancy, and offers recreational fields in addition to natural habitat with wildlife viewing opportunities. Partners have included U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Chesapeake Bay Field Office, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Queen Anne's County, Natural Resource Conservation Service, Land and Water Conservation Fund, and the Maryland Conservation Corps.
