I've just learned that the Islamic State has beheaded Tomislav Salopek, a 31-year old Croatian man kidnapped in July 2015 while working in Cairo, Egypt. I am both angered and saddened by the completely gratuitous death of an innocent young man, a father of two underage children, and I wonder how many more will have to die before someone puts a stop to this madness.
