Tower of Power - GH5 pimped up with XLR1 and Azden Pro-XD lavalier

Whether you're a professional cinematographer, stills photographer, a happy photo enthusiast or a student on a budget; if you haven't already, you all should seriously check this camera out - The new Lumix GH5. The most modular, dependable future proof hybrid stills/video camera known to hit the market in 2017. In the summer, it will receive an update that brings Hybrid Log Gamma which is the future for HDR and backwards compatible creative filmmaking to deliver for for media giants like Netflix and Amazon. The GH5 will also embrace the new Video Speed Class SD-cards once they're available, and will take advantage of the new and inexpensive storage media to shoot 4K 10bit 4:2:2 into a 400Mbit/s Intra-frame H.264 codec.

.

For the stills photographer, look out for 6K Photo - there's something for you from the video aspects of this camera; GH5 is capable of shooting crisp 4:3 or 2:3 aspect 18MP stills in 30fps continously, that is without a limit (oh well limited to the storage space on your card) also as a pre-rec or loop-rec variety, stored in a super efficient H.265/HEVC 10bit codec (4:2:0) taking up roughly 1.5GB/s, that's 90GB in one hour of 18MP footage. An average still frame with this modern compression looks far better than "good old" JPEG... think about that for a while, and look out for me in the Nordic camera stores for the next coming months. I'm not going anywhere without my GH5. 😁👍

.

Pre-order now! The slim Azden PRO-XD wireless lavalier posing in this shot can also be used with 3.5mm mic inputs and without the XLR-adaptor shown here, but this setup can take another XLR microphone for channel 2, and the high-res 96kHz/24bit audio that the XLR unit capture, is out of the ordinary.
