Empty Freeways

DIY 8x10 pinhole camera, 240mm, f/420, 140 seconds.

Paper negative, Ilford MGIV RC Pearl, developed in Agfa Rodinal 1:50 for 140 seconds.

Contact print, Ilford MGIV RC Pearl, 15.5" standoff, f/4, 15 seconds, #1.5 filter, developed in Ilford Multigrade 1+14 @ 60 seconds.

This was the second shot taken by my DIY-LF pinhole camera. Exposure was pretty close again, and the contrast on the paper negative was much better this time around due to a change in developers. I also chopped down the negative prior to exposing so it would fit better in the box and so it would leave a thicker border on the contact print.

I built this camera as part of a long-term project running at FeelingNegative.com. I'll be making improvements and building better cameras in the next few months.
