So this is what inspired the pod2blog nextgen rebuild. RSS files extracted from the web (flickr, delicious, my blog) all mashed together in a page.
It has stacks missing (tags, links in reference format, timeline) but the basics are there. Also the delicious links via RSS displayed in the previous shot now displayed.
If you add my blog RSS data you get a visual idea of the result (in html). There would also be RSS feeds for each (image, link, text) of the components.
In the shot you can see the flickr screenshot I upload prior now extracted by rss.
