Objective Charlie.

Found waterfall.

Batts died on camera.

Difficult & dangerous descent.

Traverse creekbed to Delta.

 

The above notes are from my diary. I needed to do this to record stuff I would never remember when I got home. The below notes are what impressions the pictures give me and what I remember.

 

The shot is crap but it highlights a point of doing this, preparation. If I had magically found the Yowie I would not have been able to show it. Next time I'll take a spare pair of batteries.

 

I'm now down about 140-200 metres from where I started at the water line on the creek. I can view this on my map. But precisely where I do not know. The creek is fuller than I expected. But lucky it is not running harder. All the way down I noticed the sides of the hills showing water coming down. Lots of it, fast.

 

The first thing I really noticed besides being a lot darker was the noise of falling water (meaning I could not hear any wildlife) and how cool it was.

 

When I breathed out, out came steam. Will not run out of water. Off to point Delta. This is where things got really hairy.
