humanising software

Want to run a simple experiment. Let a couple of youngsters play with tamogotchi's and see how they learn, overcome problems. With software getting more complex its interesting to see how t's solve the problem of firstly simulating a individual.utoronto.ca/elaine/tama.htm of the tamagotchi with lots of interesting things (that I'll rattle on about at some other time).

The tamagotchi concept is the brainchild of Aki Maita and sold by Bandai from Japan.

Geology

Interesting news article that appeared in Age newspaper today. My old RMIT Geology lecturer, Phil Bock found an 18 million year old fossil in a limestone block on campus. '... The barnacle, of genus Tetraclitella but yet to be given a species name, was discovered late last year by retired geologist Phil Bock. ....' (The Age, Court gives up Barnacle Phil's discovery)
