Having just crossed into Arkansas from Oklahoma, Canadian Pacific 2816 charges up Rich Mountain with the Final Spike Tour steam special this morning.
The Final Spike Tour, a 2 month round trip from Calgary to Mexico City and back, run to commemorate the merger of Canadian Pacific & Kansas City Southern (now CPKC), is the first time the Hudson has officially ran a mainline excursion since 2012, and the first time in the US since 2007.
