Poor Katie --- I tried to get her to recreate my favorite 'dog in the road' picture ----- she wasn't feelin' it. After we put Katie down a few weeks ago, a friend of mine said he thinks this picture is symbolic. Katie was at my side for eleven years of my journey. This was as far as she could go down this road with me. The rest of the trip is without her.
