Wild mustangs
Another from my backfile. I was irritated with myself that I didn't close down the aperture enough to get both horses in focus, which is why this has sat in the backfile. (I did go to f/8 but at 840mm it seems the DOF is still pretty shallow.) This could be ex-post rationalization, but maybe the softness in the brown horse isn't such an image killer. The horses themselves are so beautiful, and I like the setting. Plus, it is a nice reminder of the trip - Theodore Roosevelt National Park was a joy to visit.
