The A1s were designed by Arthur Peppercorn for the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) and were used from the late 1940s to 1966. Now the new 60163 Tornado, The Cathedrals Express, together with its historic carriages, takes passengers through the English countryside for an authentic steam experience.
