Pollinator power

I specifically set out to see the Snowberry clearwing moths (Hermaris diffinis) at Close Memorial Park and was not disappointed. I almost missed them because in my memory from last year, they were much larger. The Butterfly House was active with visitors but for me the draw was outside with these little speedsters. The flowers are a variety of Butterfly bush, thanks to Gary Seloff via iNaturalist for the ID.
