TURNING SCRAP INTO STEEL

Scrap metal is put in to the furnace to be turned into molten steel for use in the construction of the ArcelorMittal Orbit at the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) in Belval, Lexembourg June 30, 2011. Designed by artist Anish Kapoor and structural engineer, Cecil Balmond, the 115m high ArcelorMittal Orbit will be the tallest sculpture in the UK and will offer unparalleled views of the Olympic Park and London’s skyline.
