Yuri: “Yes, yes, fine. Did you comprehend what I said to do when the timer goes off?”
Kumi: “Take the cakes out immediately.”
Yuri: “Correct.” *exits to the pantry*
Kumi: *leans against the counter, stares at the oven, ready to take action*
--Strident ding—
Kumi: *grabs a potholder, opens the oven, and retrieves the cakes* “Cakes are out!” *places the pan on the stove top*
Yuri: *from the pantry* “I suppose I should gather all the supplies I will need for the next few projects, since you seem incapable of helping in that regard.”
Kumi: “Did you find the cake flour?”
Yuri: “Of course I found it. It was at eye-level, in the front, precisely as I told you.”
Kumi *mimics Yuri silently, making faces all the while*
Yuri: “You best be finished mocking me by the time I depart this pantry, Kumi, because if I see it, bad things will befall you. Very bad things.”
Kumi: *crosses arms* “Bake sales sure make you grouchy!”
--Silence from the Pantry—
Kumi: “Silent treatment. Great.”
Lukas: *groggily walks into the kitchen, unaware of his surroundings, and suffering from a severe case of early morning fuzz-brain*
Kumi: *watches Luke soundlessly, mischievous expression creeping over her face*
Lukas: *opens the fridge, rummages around inside, voice rough* “Mornin’, babe.”
Kumi: *mimicking Yuri, purrs* “Hello, darling. Would you like me to pour you a cup of coffee?”
Lukas: *head still in the fridge* “Uh…yeah. Please.”
Kumi: *grabs a mug, fills it three-quarters full, and sidles up to Luke* “Here you are, Lukas. I know you do not function properly until you have had your coffee. Rest assured, I left room for you to complement it with milk, precisely as you prefer it…darling.”
Lukas: *straightens up, milk in hand* “Thanks, babe…*leans in for a kiss, stops an inch from Kumi’s face, blinks, and lets out a horrified scream*
Kumi: *doubles over laughing, leaning on the counter for support* “I’d say *chortles*...you scream like a girl, but *gurgles*…that’d be an insult to girls everywhere.”
Lukas: *backs up quickly, banging into the open fridge door, clutching milk to his chest* “What the hell are you doing here at this hour?”
