Sequins On Cuff

The first two stockings I did, the sequins are nearly perfect: nicely spaced, neat, in a line. One year, the felt stretched as I stitched and the sequins were out of whack. I kind of liked the effect and stopped worrying about getting them right after that.

 

This is one of the most time consuming parts of any stocking. Two movies and a few episodes of Law and Order went into it. It's kind of hard to come up with a definite time - often, I sit down and do a couple of feet of thread. Each sequin is hand sewn and is held in place with a bead. (Now's when I really wish I'd followed through on getting a camera that can do macro!)
