The wild ponies were on the beaches in the Outer Banks of N.C. in droves on this day. A southwesterly wind pushed the flies and other biting insects towards the shoreline. The ponies sought refuge at the waterline all day long. I was able to photograph all the small groups of horses scattered all the way from Corolla northward to the Virginia line. There will be more to follow as I process the day's shoot.
