Penn Central ALCO RS-3 # 5589 (former New Haven) is seen while leading a local freight train in the Cedar Hill Yard at New Haven, Connecticut, 1971. It is nice to see a red caboose at the end of this short train. It appears that the PC did little more than the New Haven Railroad in their last days to clean up the trash in the Cedar Hill Yard area. The catenary that was previously in the yard was removed by the New Haven Railroad some time back prior to the PC's arrival.
