Forme
The complete poem, secured with wooden furniture and adjustable metal quoins, all inside a chase. This ensemble is called a forme. It should be possible to lift the forme as one unit, without any type shifting, and transfer it to the printing press for proofing.
At this stage, the sixteen-line poem had roughly as many errors as lines.
