St. James' Church Cooling

I stopped at St. James' Church in Cooling while out cycling. The Church is no longer used for worship and is looked after by the Churches Conservation Trust and local volunteers.

 

Cooling is a small village in North Kent, on the Hoo Peninsula by the Thames estuary. Frequented by Charles Dickens as one of the photos details, the church was used in the opening scenes of Great Expectations.
