I'm so happy with this design.. and the photo! The wood was bleached after a summer's exposure and with a bit of scrubbing I'm pretty happy. Most of the other shots you'll see on the esty page are no where near as nice. This just kind of glows.
Anyway, its a very unusual piece. One of a kind ... and the wings! oh la. :D I found them mixed in with a scrap metal lot. They were once going to be some very ugly earrings in the 1970s. lol.
This piece has all kinds of gears: clock gears, pocket watch gears and wrist watch gears too.
and the "poison stinger" - is peridot set in sterling.

And in Greatly Exciting News... this image was "IMAGE OF THE WEEK" in the most Recent Toronto CRAFT ALERT Newsletter! I didn't even really realize it... but I had a good friend who emailed me to let me know. I just kind of glanced at it and the realization that it was MINE was there ... but duh! I was half asleep. My friends are coool.
