Wow, my first musical composition for maybe a year, my moose has been sadly lacking (see elsewhere). I'm a musical numpty so this is nothing fancy, just simple sub-'O'-level standard notation, made to look professional by using Finale's magical free software, called Notepad. A simplified version of their full software, it's always suited me fine, though I can understand why there's so much debate between the respective users of Finale's products and those of the Sibelius company. but I can't afford either, and for my level of work, it just isn't worth it.

Trouble for me is that scoring music is painful like pulling teeth, I'm always knackered when I've finished. This is just the melody line, harmonies I can do but I need to feel really inspired. The tune is in my head but getting it down on paper is " :-P " I can see why the great composers turned to drink, or whatever...

This is a musical setting of Psalm 144, which crops up quite regularly in the church year, so it was bugging me that while I had a version, it was rubbish and sappy. I think this version is more upbeat and robust, though it is in bonehead G major, so perhaps not the most exciting piece of music that ever graced the stave.
