Travis Air Base and first responders from surrounding communities swung into action Thursday, 10 April 2014 on a integrated joint training exercise with the goal of enabling proficiency should a real-world mass casualty event ever happen. The scenario evolved the simulation of two F-16 Fighting Falcon jets crashing near a crowd of spectators during an air show. Firefighters, medical technicians, security forces and other emergency personnel from both the military and civilian agencies had the opportunity practice operations, techniques and procedures, and enhance interoperability.
