Cantharis nigricans

One of several beetle species sharing the common name 'soldier beetle' mostly - but not exclusively - in the genus Cantharis.

 

This one is characterised by dark grey elytra, a red pronotum with dark marks and red legs except for the black hind tibia and femur bases.
